Adam Harden, Director of Corporate Development
We’re incredibly proud to announce that our former National Sales Manager, Adam Harden, has been promoted to Director of Corporate Development! Adam was one of the first three full time Account Executives at Riverside Payments—starting his career with us in 2014. Later, he was promoted twice in a two year span, to Territory Manager and then to National Sales Manager. Now, after four years of consistency, persistence, and dedication as a National Sales Manager, he will be taking a forefront role in directing our organization to new heights.
As Riverside continues to grow, so does our vision—and our team has a huge hand in driving that. In particular, Adam’s experience and hard work made him the ideal candidate for this position. “I look at this role as a new venture to drive company growth in a new direction,” he said. “That includes brand growth, revenue growth, growth into completely new business opportunities, and growth for the Riverside team itself.”
We took some time to ask Adam a few questions. Here’s what he had to say!
Q: What are a few accomplishments or milestones that you’re proud of from the past year?
A: In December of 2019, I was recognized as the Top NSM for the year! That moment was energizing and exciting, and it fueled me. When COVID happened, it took everyone by storm and flipped lives upside down—myself included. The day before we were to start working from home,my wife went into labor and gave birth to the purest version of an angel in the physical form: my daughter Magnolia Sterling Harden. She is the reason for my being, and I am very proud of her, and proud of the father she has shaped myself to be each and every day.
In November of 2020, Riverside launched it’s Presidents Club—a benefit for Riverside employees that pushed the envelope and strived to be the best—and I was very proud to be included. The club recipients were invited to take a trip to Cabo, Mexico, and it was a blast! It was my first time visiting Mexico, and it was fun to celebrate the accomplishments of 2019 with the amazing people who made it happen.
Q: How do you think you got to where you are today?
A: I don't feel like there was anything extra I did to get me to where I am today. What I feel I did well up to this point was that I habitually did things to the best of my ability in a consistent fashion. There is a famous quote, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act - but a habit." I make it a habit—a consistent habit—to strive for excellence in all that I do at Riverside, no matter how big or small the task.
Q: Anything else you’d like to add?
A: I would not be where I am without the support, drive, help, assistance, motivation and strength from those around me: Brandon Skinner, Jason Reese, Chris Crouch, Amie Sanders, April Everhart, Caitlyn Craviotto, Falon Ward, Paige Mogray, Morgan Lee, Jared Crouch, Sam West, Masha Lukashin, Nick Clay, Shane Skinner, Ceara Cavanaugh, Nicole Fritz, Zeck Gurwell and Allan Kor.
But most of all - my loving wife Tiffany.
