Introducing Jason McCann

We’re very proud to announce that Jason McCann has joined the Riverside family as our Director of Tech Support! 

Riverside Payments has always prided itself on our commitment to first-class customer service, so our goals in hiring Jason were to that end! His primary focus will be to level up our overall customer experience within our technical support team, aiming to be an industry-leading example of how technical support in the merchant service industry should work. That includes building out the foundations of our POS conversion, Installation, Technical Support, and Sub ISO technical support areas; improving our response time for assistance with conversions and installs, and designing and implementing training strategies to improve the effectiveness of our technical support department!

Jason comes to us with a wide breadth of experience in tech support—starting out in Florida as a field technician for Pinnacle Hospitality Systems. He handled the day-to-day support for POS systems on site at customer businesses in that role as well as his following role at Spartan Computer Services, where he worked as an Area Manager leading a team of POS field technicians supporting corporate-level clients. That familiarity working with businesses on the ground makes him especially qualified for the role—he knows what our customers need and is uniquely qualified to position us for mutual success. 

After moving to Oregon, he worked in tech support at Sage for two years before he helped build the Papa Murphy’s Store Solutions Business Technology Support Department as a team leader in their Vancouver corporate offices. That included building an onboarding and training program for new hires, building a POS lab, and helping put together all the systems, processes and metrics for the department.

After his time at Papa Murphy’s, Jason decided to revamp his education—getting an Associates degree in Computer Information Systems from PCC and then a dual Bachelors’ Degree in Management and Human Resource Management from PSU. 

We’re incredibly excited to see how Jason will lead our Technical Support team, and how his influence will impact Riverside long-term!
