5 TIPS FOR MAINTAINING BALANCE THIS SEASON

 Balance Indulgence

If you have multiple holiday parties on the weekends, eat well during the week to counteract your indulgence. It’s not about losing weight. It’s about not packing on the pounds. Add a bit more exercise to your routine. If you are not accustomed to exercise, try downloading “7 minute workout” to your smart phone and squeeze it in when you can.

 

Stay Healthy

Consider a flu shot and extra vitamins, coupled with plenty of rest. Wash your hands frequently to help avoid catching the latest virus that’s going around. During winter months we lack certain nutrients that help us stave off illness, low energy levels and even depression. Extra measures can be the key to a healthy, happy season.

Travel Safely

Winter road conditions can be hazardous. Be sure to allow yourself enough time to get where you’re going without having to rush and risk your own safety or that of your family. Simply slow it down and enjoy the journey. Better safe than sorry.

Office Politics

Consider the dynamic at your company Christmas party and go with the flow without compromising your professionalism and reputation. It’s not always the best idea to be the “Life of the Party.” Pre-set your alcohol limit and stick to it. Just because there’s an open bar, doesn’t mean you have to drink it dry. You want to be able to hold your head up high on Monday morning.

Don’t Drink & Drive

Festivities abounding, you’ll be wise to make arrangements for a designated driver so you can imbibe in the fun without putting yourself or others in danger.
